The 3100 sq. ft. space is currently under renovation to accommodate the iconic couture designs Manuel is known for as well as the studio for designing and manufacturing the first run of products from the forthcoming “New Vision” collection.

On May 30, 2013 The Johnny Cash Museum opened in downtown Nashville. Family and friends gathered the evening before to celebrate The Man in Black and get a first look at the much anticipated collection!
Numerous Manuel pieces are featured in the museum including the suit Johnny wore for the United States bicentennial celebrations in 1976. For more information about the Johnny Cash Museum, please visit their website.
April 23rd marked 80 years of Manuel! On May 4th and May 18th Manuel celebrated his birthday in style with his family and friends at his studio in Nashville, Tennessee and his home in College Grove, Tennessee.
Guests were treated to musical performances by some of Manuel’s closest friends and clients including Rosie Flores, Frank Ortega, Malcolm Ford and the Dough Rollers, Kelly Parkes, CJ Garton, Casey James Prestwood and the Burning Angels, 2Country4Nashville, and many more!
Angel Mary & the Tennessee Werewolves feature Manuel in Their Latest Music Video
In April 2013, Angel Mary & the Tennessee Werewolves released their latest music video for the song entitled “Cowboy.” Long time fan and friend, Manuel made a special guest appearance as “The Dealer” alongside Robert Reynolds of The Mavericks and Doug Phelps of Brother Phelps.

On October 18, 2012, Steve Richard received the ICM award for Video of the Year for his latest music video Loves Gotta Go Somewhere.
Manuel worked with Mr. Richard to create a stunning burgundy suit and black shirt with rhinestone detailing to wear to the awards ceremony.
The Inspirational Country Music Awards ceremony was held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
Manuel has invited Nashville artist Karen Waldrup featuring Ashlee K Thomas to perform at his Halloween Party and Artist Showcase on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 5pm to 7pm.

October 2012: Manuel Dresses Wanda Jackson’s Band
On October 20, 2012, Wanda Jackson Band debuted a new, live performance, music video. Ms. Jackson surprised fans at The 5 Spot in Nashville while in town promoting her latest album.
Manuel had the pleasure of dressing the Queen of Rockabilly’s band for the music video in signature Manuel black jackets. Ms. Jackson released her latest album, Unfinished Business October 9, 2012.
Saturday October 13, 2012 marked Glen Campbell’s last performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Manuel teamed up with his long time friend to create this stunning, one-of-a-kind white suit with turquoise accents and turquoise pearl snap shirt with white rose embroidery and rhinestones.
Manuel has created numerous pieces for Mr. Campbell throughout his historic career including the infamous Rhinestone Cowboy suit.
Mr. Campbell will finish up his “Goodbye Tour” in December 2012.
October 11, 2012 Nashville Scene released their annual Best of Nashville 2012 issue. Bill Demain’s Walkin’ Nashville Tour was the writer’s choice for best tour of Nashville.
The tour is an inside look at how Nashville came to be called Music City and includes visits to Printer’s Alley, Ryman Auditorium, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Ernest Tubb Record Shop, and Hatch Show Print. Mr. Demain provides the history and behind-the-scenes anecdotes about country’s legends, making this tour the best tour of Nashville.
In the article Mr. Demain is featured wearing a signature Manuel jacket with western themed embroidery and rhinestones.
On October 6, 2012, The Wall Street Journal interviewed local Nashvillian’s to create The Insider’s Guide to Nashville.
The article features Manuel’s favorite spots in Nashville including The Hermitage, The Frist, Giovanni’s, Robert’s Western World, and Nashville’s Farmer’s Market.
Lee Ann Womack, Margot McCormack, and Eddie George were also interviewed for the article. The article can be found on The Wall Street Journal’s website.
The 23rd International Bluegrass Awards were held September 28, 2012. Del McCoury hosted the event with Laurie Lewis.
Manuel worked with Mr. McCoury to create a stunning heather grey suit with charcoal and silver rose embroidery and rhinestones.
While in Mexico, Azteca Noticias interviewed Manuel for the piece “Modisto de las estrellas.” When translated it means “Designer to the Stars.”
In the interview Manuel discusses his creative process along with his many infamous creations including The Beatles “Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts” suits, Elvis’ gold lame suit, and John Travolta’s costumes in Urban Cowboy.

On September 28, 2012, Manuel was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa, the President of Mexico in Morelia.
Also on September 28, 2012, Mexico celebrated World Tourism Day in Morelia, Michoacan with the inauguration of the 3rd annual World Cultural Tourism Fair of Morelia. A recording of the event can be found here. Manuel receives his award at minute 37.

During the second week of September, the Americana Music Association held their annual Americana Music Festival with four nights of music at six different venues throughout Music City.
The festival kicked off on September 12, 2012 with the Americana Music Awards and Honors ceremony presented by Nissan. Manuel created a one-of-a-kind suit for host Jimmy Lauderdale. The house band for the ceremony consisted of Buddy Miller, Don Was, Rami Kaffe, Brady Blade, and Larry Campbell; who were all dressed in Manuel couture.
This month, Manuel has been working on a one-of-a-kind jacket to be featured on the new hit series, Nashville. The series premieres Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 10/9c on ABC.
